Welcome to Sailing in Kingston
Kingston Ontario is the fresh water sailing capital of the world and has been host to the Olympic sailing regatta and is current host to CORK (Canadian Olympic Regatta Kingston) and the Canadian Yacht Association.
Every summer the waters surrounding Kingston are filled with brightly coloured sails from the smallest windsufer to the large St. Lawrence II tall ship which calls Kingston it's home.
Many evenings you will find boats of all classes participating in club races or just out for a sail.
Sailing in Kingston is a site dedicated to all those who sail on the waters around Kingston and for those planning a visit. Despite it's natural sailing environment, Kingston is lacking in some basic elements that most sailors would expect. Sailing in Kingston is designed to pull the much needed information like the marine forcasts, current wind conditions and boat launch locations into one easy to use site.
Sailing in Kingston also has a hotel listing for those visiting from out of town, some useful sailing links and even a story about the restoration of a local Albacore. With future plans like a restaraunt listing and local sailing tips, Sailing in Kingston is sure to be an invaluable resource for locals and visitors alike.
If you have any local sailing tips, great places to eat, local races or anything else you would like to see here please let us know.
